Ghetto-scoping

This really isn't a new idea or anything - they had that guy in Texas do the hunting over the web a while back and the IDF has been doing this for a matter of years... but. I took a ghetto scope, and a ghetto camera and put them together.
There is a bit too much distortion to use this as an telephoto lens, but it's not all that bad considering it was a rig I hacked together in a matter of minutes.
Oddly enough, it might work a bit better with a cheaper camera due to the placement of the lenses, etc.
Forest fires are great!
At least when it comes to making some nice pics. The smoke in thise pics was from the fires last year in Washington state. Just getting around to posing them now! I printed the second one on some Kodak mettallic paper from Adorama - simply amazing.
